The “Folio” Vegetable-Tanned Full Grain Leather Belt

A good leather belt should feel like it belongs in your everyday rotation from day one — and still be there years down the road. We started out making leather straps for guitarists, people who hang serious gear off a strip of cowhide and expect it to hold up night after night. That same care, attention to detail, and stubbornness for quality went into this belt: one solid piece of thick 3.6mm-4.0mm full grain veg-tanned cowhide, a solid brass buckle, and solid brass Chicago screws holding it all together.

The “Folio” belt holds it together like a good rhythm section but retains all the stage presence of a striking frontman. It is extremely strong (and tough like good veg-tanned leather is) but this belt is also a sophisticated showstopper. We think of it as the digital counterpoint to our “analog” Slab belt. With a bit of a sheen and a refined look, it will dress up your jeans or pair with slacks, chinos, and anywhere you want a bit more polish.

FEATURES:

• Full grain thick single layer cowhide, the strongest, most durable part of the hide and full grain leather retains all of its natural scrapes and marks, burnishing and beautifying with age.
• Strong and stylish with a slight sheen finish. Available in our vegetable-tanned Mocha Brown or Raven Black leather color options that are sophisticated while still retaining depth and character.

• Solid brass buckle that won't flake, peel, or turn on you. The Matte Nickel finish is electroplated directly onto the solid brass base. Because solid brass does not rust or corrode underneath like cheaper base metals, the electroplated layer bonds securely and will not spontaneously flake or peel off.

• Chicago screws made of solid brass (with a finish matching your buckle) secure the buckle to the leather belt
• 25-year warranty against defects (excludes normal wear and tear)

The belt length listed for our belts is measured from the middle (fourth) hole to the fold where the belt wraps around the buckle. This allows for the most flexibility - you have three inches to adjust up or down as your weight or clothing thickness changes.

So what length belt do you need?
Order a belt that is 2 inches larger than your pants size or waist size (measuring where you like to wear your belt). For example, if you wear a size 36 pant, you should order a size 38 belt.
