We thought it would be fun to get to know a little bit more about our Anthology Artists so we've asked them to participate in a Q&A. Here's the "Quick Six" with Anthology Artist Rich Redmond, drummer for Jason Aldean:
1. First concert you attended?
The Maynard Ferguson Big Band in El Paso, TX.
2. How old were you when you started playing the drums?
Started playing at age 7.
3. Venue you would love to play at (or a dream venue that you have already played at)?
Always love playing The Hollywood Bowl. So much history.
4. Artist or song you are into most right now?
Love Brandi Carlile. Jason Isbell as well.
5. Do you have any pre-show rituals or superstitions?
I warm up for 30-60 minutes on a practice pad before the show.
6. Who has inspired you most as a musician?
It all started with drummers like Carmine Appice, Gregg Bissonette, Kenny Aronoff, Stewart Copeland, Alex Van Halen and Gene Krupa. I've been inspired or learned something from every drummer I have ever seen since. :)
