Jan is an independent musician, composer and performing artist.

Jan Sturiale is not easily categorized, since his playing is a creative blend of styles. Jan has performed, toured and recorded with some of the most respected names in the industry. These include: Hiram Bullock, Bob Reynolds, Janek Gwizdala, Vardan Ovsepian, Damian Erskine, Ziv Ravitz, Dean Brown, Tatiana Parra,and many others.

Jan performs on handcrafted guitars made by Victor Baker, Bill Conlkin and Rick Canton.

In September of 2014, Jan released his second album, Electric Water. Recorded in Los Angeles and engineered in New York by John Davis from “Nerve”, the new album features Jan Sturiale, Bob Reynolds, Vardan Ovsepian, Damian Erskine, Chaun Horton and also showcases Tatiana Parra on three titles.

Jan performed in some of the best New York Jazz venue such as "The Bar Next Door", "Shape Shifter Lab", "Why Not Jazz Room", "Bonafide Club" among others and toured theatres and clubs in Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, France as a sideman and as a leader.

In 2016 Jan recorded his latest record in New York that features Audun Waage, Marko Churnchetz, Joe Sanders and Ziv Ravitz. The new recorded will be soon mixed and released on summer 2016.

His latest record released in 2017 "Roadmaps" features Jure Pukl, Marko Churnchetz, Miha Koren and Klemens Marktl recorded in New York at Bunker Studios by John Davis.

Jan studied classical guitar from age 9. He attended the prestigious Conservatory of Udine and later the Conservatory of Trieste in the jazz department. Jan received the Gary Burton Scholarship from Berklee College of Music to master his studies.
