Acoustic Guitar Headstock Adapter for Guitar Straps
Choose options
If your acoustic guitar only has one strap peg (at the base of the guitar), you can attach the other end of your guitar strap to the headstock of the guitar using this headstock adapter. This strip of leather slips underneath the strings just above the nut. The adapter includes a button for attaching your guitar strap just as you would to a peg on the guitar.
- The headstock adapter is available in four of our full grain leather- whiskey brown, carbon black, aged steel and tobacco - so you should be able to find a match for most guitar straps
- The diameter of the button on the headstock adapter is 11/16-inch
- The post of the headstock adapter will accommodate a guitar strap that is approximately 2-3mm thick
IMPORTANT: It can take some effort to work the button on the headstock adapter through the hole in our guitar strap. If the strap is too thick or the hole on the strap is too small, you may not be able to attach the guitar strap.
Tips for attaching the headstock adapter:
- Start by working the headstock adapter button through the hole on the end of your guitar strap.
- Then thread the headstock adapter under the strings at the base of the guitar headstock (just above the neck).
- Finally, work the headstock adapter button through the hole on the opposite end of the headstock adapter making sure the leather is pulled under the button head.
