Like the Windsor V8 in a '65 Mustang, drummers are the high-octane propulsion largely concealed beneath the band's flashy body. Guitarists, we get to be the front end, the headlights, the deep bucket seats, the dashboard — fuzzy dice optional. But without the backbeat, without that unerring percussive foundation, well, I don't need to tell you. The secret of rock 'n' roll is revealed at the first rehearsal: a band is only as good as its drummer.
In fact, a great drummer can lift everyone and everything higher while, without rock-solid hands on the kit, forget it. Nothing is happening.
I'm a guitarist, focused on guitars, but my respect for what drummers do could not be higher, and their unique brand of driven is so naturally aligned with the relentless breakaway spirit of Anthology, that designing this constructive leather salute, a case for their firing pistons, was a decision that made itself.
Sticks will come and splinter, as they should, burned up like fuel, but The Seville drumstick bag is built to keep time forever, braving the beatings of the road while burnishing beautifully with every mile, capturing and expressing the solid, unrelenting journey of the drummer in all its varied tempos.
My drum-pounding brothers and sisters deserve nothing less. Salute.
Our stick bags are made to last, using the absolute finest full-grain leathers and the strongest industrial grade threads. To top it off, our leather burnishes and beautifies with use. All of our leathers have their natural marks, scrapes and scars, which means these stick bags have loads of raw, rugged personality.

With certain things, I can accept the average, the disposable, the standard issue. Pretty good is good enough.
Just not with my guitars.
For me, it’s music, but no matter what the pursuit, when an interest becomes a passion we steadily increase our investment of focus, discipline, and commitment naturally. Driven by self-expression, not status symbols, we luck into a purity of purpose that elevates our life above the mundane at least a little bit — something that gets us burning the midnight oil and jumping out of bed faster in the morning. With a lot of hard work and some talent, we then hopefully reach a point on that climb where vistas we could never have seen from a lower vantage point come suddenly into view, expanding our horizons, enlarging our world, encouraging us to scale even higher.
The experience is like a revelation.
Capturing what that means for me — and for so many other rabid, uncompromising players making the ascent with six strings and a tube amp — is what Anthology is all about. And, yes, part of that journey is throwing off commonplace equipment for gear that reflects and serves our exceptional passion in a meaningful way.
And if Anthology has a master thesis to date, this is it: The Revelator.
Designing guitar straps proved even more fulfilling than I anticipated, but in the course of that process I found myself itching for a larger canvas. I was inspired to tackle a piece that could stand more completely on its own as a synthesis of all of the Anthology qualities. So like molten steel in a blast furnace, those inspirations, attitudes, materials, and aesthetics were poured into every layer, stitch, and rivet of The Revelator — completing an emphatic statement of style and individuality, a commanding coat of armor and leather coat for your instrument.
Basically, I was determined with The Revelator to hold what holds your guitar to a higher standard. The resulting labor of love, obsession, and precision was designed to be both “a work of art” (to invoke the admiring words of some grateful owners) and a rigorously sturdy, protective piece — a monument you carry with you, onward and upward.
“The Revelator” was designed as a special hybrid between a gig bag and a hard shell case. Inside “The Revelator” leather guitar case, your guitar sits in a bed of comfort. Outside, like a hard shell case, “The Revelator” affords total protection under the most extreme conditions.
Built for standard body electric guitars, ie. Les Pauls, Tele's, etc. If you have questions about whether your guitar will fit, see dimensions below.

We don’t talk about it nearly enough.
Yet this sinister syndrome strikes every day, all around the world. For any player, it’s only a matter of time. For others, the condition is even chronic.
Whether in the next five minutes, five hours, five days, or five months, at some point, you will find yourself needing to play guitar but suffering from PDS.
Pick Disappearance Syndrome.
Well, it’s time we finally took off the gloves and aggressively stamped out this terrible affliction. Here at Anthology, we’re throwing a wicked one-two punch via our pick wallets. These powerful, proven*, stylish antidotes fit conveniently in any pocket to ensure that multiple guitar picks are rolling with you at all times.
(*Side effects may include euphoria, relentless strumming, amplified confidence, extended jamming, excessive soloing, spontaneous gigging, creative stimulation, and sleep loss. If you find yourself playing guitar for longer than 24 consecutive hours, immediately contact your doctor. If you find yourself playing guitar for longer than 48 consecutive hours, immediately contact The Guinness Book of World Records.)
Together, we can defeat PDS once and for all.
Our guitar pick wallets are made to last, using the absolute finest full-grain leathers and the strongest industrial grade threads. To top it off, our leather burnishes and beautifies with use. adjective
1. not revealing one's thoughts or feelings readily
2. restrained in expression, presentation, or appearance
Being a musician is about allowing ourselves to be vulnerable. Whether it’s putting ourselves out into the world via a recording or a live performance, it means putting ourselves out for everyone to hear, judge, and analyze. This can be a difficult thing for many of us to accomplish, but also can be intensely rewarding and liberating as one lets their creativity flow. The Reticent to me symbolizes the introverted, guarded, somewhat inhibited person I am that struggles with allowing myself to be vulnerable. However, when paired with the more gregarious guitar (and perhaps also with the always appreciated extroverted front man), I allow all those bottled up thoughts and feelings to flow freely. I don’t want a loud or obnoxious strap to tell my story. I want the thick, strong, durable comfort of an Anthology Gear full grain leather strap ... rugged, honest, beautifully imperfect. And I’ll tell my story through my music. Reticently.
FEATURES OF THIS RUGGED LEATHER GUITAR STRAP:
Width: Available in 2" and 3" width
Length:
• Strap adjusts from 39" - 54" (See our Instragram post for Tongue Tying Tricks)
• For a long guitar strap (adjusts from 54" - 63"), add optional Jumbo Tongue (sold separately).
Top Leather: Carbon Black (full-grain leather)
Bottom Leather: Deer Black (soft full-grain leather)
All Anthology leather guitar and bass straps are hand-made with the absolute finest quality full-grain leathers in the world. Our leathers are chosen for their ability to fully distribute the weight of the guitar across the strap, for a more comfortable playing experience on those long gigs.
Our leather guitar straps are not only great looking; they're also super-comfortable. Between a top layer of rugged full-grain leather, and a bottom layer of ultra-soft full-grain leather, we use a high-density, premium padding, to maximize comfort without sacrificing strength. We give the guitarist the best of both worlds, a streamlined padded guitar strap. Comfortable and durable with style!
Even better, we use only the strongest industrial grade threads, the same threads used to make parachutes and airbags. That's strength you can trust.
To top it off, our leather burnishes and beautifies with use. All of our leather guitar straps have their natural marks, scrapes and scars, which means they have loads of raw, rugged personality.
If you’re buying as a gift and don’t have access to measure the current strap, or you just can’t wait until you get home to take the measurement, there are several factors to consider:
The main functional issue with respect to buying a guitar strap online is getting the length right. Our straps are measured from attachment hole to hole. The best way to determine your ideal length, or that of the musician you’re buying for, is to measure the previous strap. If you don’t have a strap to reference for whatever reason, we’ve assembled some general guidelines for length (supplemented with this friendly disclaimer: if you find our standard strap is too short, you can always add a jumbo tongue).
Elements to consider:
1. Player height and weight:
• In general, players who are 6’ and under, and average weight, should be fine with a standard length strap.
• Players over 6’, or with more weight, could use a jumbo tongue.
2. Electric or acoustic:
• Because acoustic guitar bodies are deeper, guitar players 5’10” and over will likely prefer a strap with the jumbo tongue.
3. Placement of attachment pegs:
• The strap attachment peg on the guitar can be in a couple of places. On some guitars the peg is at the top of the bout; on others, it’s placed where the guitar neck meets the body of the guitar. In the case of the latter, a few more inches will be needed, and a jumbo tongue might be the way to go.
4. How low or high the player holds their guitar:
• If the player is a rocker, with their guitar a bit below the waist, a jumbo tongue might be the way to go.
• If the player holds the guitar from the waist up, our standard length strap should do the trick.
