Our handmade leather guitar straps for electric guitars, acoustic guitars and bass guitars are made with the highest quality leathers. Because full grain leather comes from the top layer of the hide, it has all the strength and makes the best leather guitar strap, especially for heavy guitars. Each Anthology Gear guitar strap has its natural marks, scrapes and scars, which means each strap has its own unique personality. Even better, our leather burnishes and beautifies with use. Between two layers of leather, we use a high-density, premium padding to maximize comfort even during those long gigs. Our craftsmen also use only the strongest industrial grade threads, the same threads used to make parachutes and airbags. That’s strength you can trust.
Our attention to detail is uncompromising. Every cut, stitch and rivet is worked and reworked until it’s perfect. These premium guitar straps are built to last longer and age better than Keith Richards. There are corporations that pump out “boatloads” of cheaply made instrument straps, covered with clip-art. We’re not one of them. Our high end guitar straps are all designed by us, then handcrafted by a "maestro" of leather in Leon, Mexico - leather capital of the Americas - with the highest quality leathers. Each padded leather guitar strap is individually hand cut and personally machined and hand sewn.

GUITAR STRAP FAQ
Yes! We use full grain leather for its ability to fully distribute the weight of the guitar across the strap, for a more comfortable playing experience on those long gigs. In addition, between the two layers of leather, we use a high-density, premium padding to maximize comfort. Although not as thick as some padded guitar straps out there, our premium padding will not break down over time. Don't take it from us, here are just a few quotes from guitarists who use our straps:

We know that many guitar players use Schaller strap locks with our guitar straps successfully (without modifying the strap in any way). We are sure other strap lock brands are used as well. Keep in mind, the full grain leather we use in our straps is thicker than that used most other leather guitar straps.
We don’t usually recommend rolling our strap very tight. They are not flimsy like a lot of other leather straps on the market. Our straps are substantial, fairly thick due to a top and bottom full grain leather as well as internal high density padding in between the leathers.
